Tempo: 80 Bpm
Key of E

Praise You in The Storm

I was sure by now, God, You would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
and it’s still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
“I’m with you”
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.

Chorus:
And I’ll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
no matter where I am
and every tear I’ve cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to You
and raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
if I can’t find You
and as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away

(Repeat Chorus)

I lift my eyes onto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes onto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth

Chicago

I’m here facing the computer, and from here, I can hear the song Glory of Love by Peter Cetera. But why is this post called Chicago? It’s because, Chicago’s music has been one of the influences in my life. I’ve always loved their songs and the arrangement. I bet when their songs were first released, those grabbed a global attention and touched the hearts of many. What I loved best though is that they never let time pass them by and let it forget their music. No. Instead, time made it better and better. The more years their songs have stayed on earth, the more classical they are.

I think that’s true for almost all songs released in the 80’s. As one has told me, 80’s was the best decade of music. When music was real. We still have music this time, but not as good as before.

I’m not an old woman born in the 80’s that I obviously like them that much. I’m a teen and surprisingly I’ve always found myself listening to songs with 80’s style. It’s just catchy.

Who doesn’t know Chicago by the way? Maybe some. But Chicago can also be referred to as: If you leave me now, You’re the Inspiration and Hard to say I’m Sorry. Those are 3 of the most famous songs I’ve heard from them. I don’t really know who and what they are but they sure produce sweet music.

Now, if only those style of music can be used in another way. I say, “used in the right way”. Although, I don’t really find it wrong for them to have used their music for mostly Eros love, I would’ve had used it for a more important cause. That is, to glorify God’s Name. Now, if we remember clearly, David was a musician. And during his time, only skilled musician can perform for the Lord. Why? Duh. God is higher than any man on earth. Of course, He deserves the our best performance.
