Rainbow Always

I’m singing the song “Rainbow” by South Border. It’s not like it’s my favorite song, it’s just that I like the message and the melody itself is catchy. It goes something like:

See the butterflies’ colors
Listen to the birds that were sent to sing for me and you

There’s a rainbow always after the rain ♪♫
I agree with the song. Literally, there’s always a rainbow after every rain. I’ve seen it myself. Children even say there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Anyway, if we dig deeper into this song, we’ll find it also true when it comes to matters of life.
We get problems and all, confusion and suffering, sorrows and tears. But life is not all about sadness. Right? I strongly believe everyone in this planet knows how to smile. Even fools smile, not knowing what they’re smiling for. Everyone in this world has known happiness and peace. Although we never really get all the things we want in life, God never fails to give us peace and happiness in many ways. Some people just try not to see that cause they want to be consumed by their own miseries – to give them enough reasons to do things that are not supposed to be done. That’s a whole new story though and we’ll not talk about that here. Maybe next time.
Anyway, I think my point is clear today. Just a self-reminder.

When It’s All Been Said And Done

Life is not what we normally think it is. When I learned this fact, I was surprised and confused at the same time. I consider myself still young and has a long way to go. There’s a big horizon in front of me. What do you see before you? Do you yourself being someone successful with a good career and a good household? That’s not impossible. But that’s not what life is all about. There’s just one thing that matters.
What if today was your last day on earth? Are you certain where you’re going to? Are you satisfied with the life you had and do you think you didn’t miss anything? Did you live the life you were supposed to? Have you reached your goal? And were you contented with it? Did you ask for more? If you are given a chance to, are you going to live your life again and repeat the good things you’ve done at the same time, correct your mistakes? If that’s only possible, but no. We’re only given one life. One life is enough for us to do what we needed to do. Is death the end? What do you think? Would believe me if I tell you that death is just the beginning of our eternal journey? That’s the time when we are going to be judged by our own ways.
When I’m alone looking at the horizon, thinking. I always ask myself – Did I follow the right thing? When I was told this truth about a Creator above us all, I was first surprised. Well, I was amazed at the sights I see at night. The moon and the stars and how they shine just right. Thinking there was a Creator made sense to me. I kept searching, seeking for more truth. The more I learn about Him, the more it gets clear to me that, life is not all about me. There’s something else beyond that big horizon.

Nothing compares to a father’s love to his child. This is what the song above is about.
When you were younger, who was there to work day or night to provide you milk? Although, most people live with single parents now. The others live alone. When we remember our father, what do we have in our minds? They might not be the best person on earth. Not the best employee or business man. But isn’t he the man who has known you all your life? And the one who stood by you and accepted you the way you are? he has seen your life from the day you were born. He was very excited to know that you were coming. When you came to the earth, he welcomed you with his big arms. He worked day and night to make sure you’re safe and healthy. When he looks at you, he never gets tired of working and gets strength from you.
To see you smile is his satisfaction.
To hear you say call him daddy is his great achievement.
To hold you in his arms is his way to protect you.
To see you hurt is his loss.
To notice you feeling lonely is his sorrow.
He suffers seeing you’re not happy. Your happiness is his dream.
But he is also a person made of human flesh. He gets hurt, he gets sick, he gets tired and he gets weary. He won’t be able to stay with you forever to guide you and protect you. So don’t waste your time. You don’t have to do anything to repay him, you basically cannot repay him. All you have is time. A time to love him, a time to tell him all your cares and sorrows. A time to let him feel you trust and believe him. That’s all he needs. And he will feel contented.
