Increase in You Decrease in Me

In our everyday life, we always judge things the way we see them. When you see a group of people at a restaurant and they look interesting to you, you start to think about what they could be doing. And you give yourself a conclusion based on what you see with your eyes and based on what you think may have happened and will happen.
When you are at a train station trying to make your way back home, you notice the people on the streets and how different they are from you by seeing the way they talk, move and even look at you. You give yourself conclusions based on what your eyes have seen and your ears have heard.
Do you notice how much time we spend everyday valuing our thoughts? At the end of the day, you then ask yourself what you did and what happened. You try to remember both good and bad things that happened to you. You smile for the good thoughts and sigh for the bad.
When you ask yourself to evaluate your heart and see what’s in there, how would you answer? I looked at my heart and looked at my self in the mirror and I found the answer. It was right there in front of me. I was being self-centered. Not just because I always think of myself and my judgment. I found out that, my time for God was not enough. Not enough at all. My heart was full of me, my happiness, my experiences, my ambitions, my dreams, my feelings.
Could this be the reason I don’t hear God’s still small voice? Could this be the reason why the line that separates right and wrong is now all blurry? And I always get confused what decisions to make?
