A Choice to Make
Dec 27, 2009 Blogs
When I was young, I’ve always wanted to sing. I grew up with music as a typical need. My sister and I were trained by our mother, how to sing, and at the same time, how to love music. When I was old enough to understand the basics of music, I found it more interesting. I fell in love with it. I wanted to listen to all types of music, the arrangement, the composition, the weight of the songs and everything that goes with it.
On the other hand, my sister – Bemmygail, also liked music. But she had another gift – that is – art. She liked painting, drawing scenes and sketching faces. As time passed by, she became more into it and is now getting into digital art – or digitally edited graphics. She became fond of it and started making wallpapers, Christian Wallpapers.
I’ve watched a lot of documentaries and stories like rags to riches about some of the famous artists we have right now. The determination was always there for those who wanted to be different. It’s a choice they made and an opportunity they grabbed. But I found it pointless though –
It’s just a never ending loop when you come to think of it. Some things happened. There’s always something happening around us. I started asking myself, what’s the point? Everything’s meaningless. So what if I get everything I wanted in life. So what if I become successful, the most adored person on earth? Am I gonna get the satisfaction I needed? From watching the lives of the once-famous-now-forgotten people, nothing makes them different from us. They live, work, succeed, then die.
I started accepting things the way they are. Tried not to change anything and just flow like a river.
